The meeting was attended by 400 people representing Africa via the Internet, and 200 participants participated in the event in Nairobi, Kenya.

The meeting included the launch of *Statement of Non -State Actors Perspectives on upcoming ACS23 , Ahead of the Africa Climate Summit to take place in Nairobi Kenya, in September,

African Non-State Actors held consultations, and engagements with different stakeholders to ensure Africa's voice and aspirations are taken during the summit.

Mr. Ahmed Fathi, head of the Youth Love Egypt Foundation and the youth representative for North Africa has raised the following important axis:

1-Youth Empowerment**: A spotlight on the youth of North Africa is essential. The unforgiving impacts of climate change are disproportionately affecting their lives, jeopardizing job security and diminishing opportunities. It's imperative that we address these challenges and pave the way for sustainable livelihoods and prosperous futures for our youth.

2-Climate Action with a Youth Focus**: The time for transformative change is now. The Africa Climate Summit must catalyze concrete actions that foster both youth empowerment and climate justice. Our shared commitment lies in fostering an environment where young individuals are not only heard but are active agents of change in our continent's journey toward sustainability.

3-A Call for African Youth**: As we reflect on past global forums addressing youth and climate change, it's evident that African youth often find their unique concerns sidelined. Let's seize this opportunity to make a resounding statement. The Africa Climate Summit must rise above the norm and champion the causes that matter most to our youth, propelling us into a future of promise and progress.
