Within the framework of ARCH project to build the capacity of civil society organizations in the field of climate change 2023-2025, which is implemented in partnership with the Crisp Berlin and with the support of the German Ministry of the Environment, Youth Loves Egypt Foundation successfully held the sixth workshop. The project aims to develop and build the capacities of youth- and women-led organisations in the field of climate change, linking them with stakeholders and including their voices in decision-making processes, in addition to raising awareness of ways to combat and adapt to climate change in Northeast Africa.
Workshop objectives
- Training participants on planning for climate change scenarios: The workshop included training sessions on planning for climate change scenarios and the types of scenarios that describe the future of climate change and its potential impacts on Egypt.
- Empowering participants to formulate strategies: The workshop enabled participants to develop action plans that take into account possible future scenarios and how to prepare for the upcoming climate challenges.
- Enhancing awareness and knowledge: The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the importance of future planning for climate change and its impact on society, with a focus on conserving and protecting the environment.
Workshop activities
The workshop included intensive training sessions and interactive workshops, where experts presented live examples and analyzes of potential climate risks and how to confront them, in addition to applying the knowledge gained by developing action plans and strategies that take into account different climate scenarios.
