YLE's participation in a Side Event on the future of agrotourism in Egypt on December 3, with the presence of Mr. Alessandro, the UNDP representative in Egypt, at the Resilience Frontiers Pavilion.
The session focused on discussing the importance of investing in agrotourism to address the complex and interrelated challenges of climate change on vulnerable communities.
YLE representatives attended the signing of an MOU between UNDP and the Knowledge Economy Foundation, aiming to design and implement the agrotourism pillar for KEF's current project, "Promoting sustainable economic activities and social alternatives based on the tourism sector in Luxor and Aswan, with special attention to women and youth."
Engineer Dina Ibrahim highlighted her initiative "Yuda" related to Green Fashion and the use of agricultural waste in environmentally friendly clothing production. This contributes to shaping the future of agrotourism and increasing interest in the green fashion industry.
Emphasis was placed on the importance of leveraging Agriculture waste in Egypt and working towards creating healthy and eco-friendly products, with a focus on revitalizing this industry.
