“Youth Love Egypt” participates in the coordination meeting of the representatives of the Pan-African Alliance for Climate Justice PACJA for the year 2023
Ahmed Fathy, head of Youth Love Egypt Foundation participated in the coordination meeting of representatives of the Pan-African Coalition for Climate Justice (PACJA) for the year 2023 in Addis Ababa, in the presence of 51 appointed focal point of national platforms across Africa.
The meeting took place from February 10 to 12, under the title ACCOUNTABILITY AND STOCKTAKING.
During the meeting, Fathi reviewed the national chapter of the Pan-African Alliance for Climate Justice, PACJA, in Egypt during the past year 2022, and the 33 participating associations in the alliance, in addition to the participation of 11 associations in 3 workshops related to the 27 summit before the summit; And one workshop after the summit, and also giving the opportunity to 16 young men and women to attend the conference.
Participation in a session on climate policies and related matters, as well as attending the executive meeting of representatives of national points to elect the executive office of PACJA, which is an important step in the construction and formation process.
The objectives of the meeting stated that the general objective of the meeting is to review the performance of the year 2022 and to develop an annual work plan for the year 2023, with a specific cost.
Collectively highlighting and reviewing the performance of the General Secretariat and the Alliance for 2022 against the action plans developed in February 2022 using balanced scorecards, as well as dialogue and documentation of key lessons learned from 2022 as well as success stories.
Goals and objectives were identified and a costed action plan for 2023 was developed with the incorporation of lessons learned from the 2022 reflections, in addition to an agreement to provide a forum to enhance communication and deepen cooperation and teamwork between the PACJA secretariat and the staff of the National Platform.
Finally, discussing work challenges and presenting and exchanging ideas on ways to overcome challenges, as well as identifying possible solutions and opportunities to benefit from them.
