This global event serves as an important platform to bring together sector leaders and innovators from around the world, primarily from the Global South, who are working on disaster risk reduction and resilience building - working together towards progress in this area! 
The Global Summit for Disaster Risk Reduction was held from 20-22 February 2024 | Nairobi, Kenya.
Over three days, GNDR members, civil society organizations, funders, disaster risk reduction experts, academics, businesses, and representatives from communities most at risk of disasters engaged in networking, learning about the latest challenges and solutions in risk reduction, and building new partnerships for local financing.. 
Additionally, discussions included early action policies in tackling and adapting to climate change and reducing disaster risks.
