 YLE Foundation participates in The Northern Africa Civil Society Regional Forum

With the participation of a delegation from the YLE Foundation and its President, Ahmed Fathi , and under the title: "Engaging Civil Society in Mobilizing Private Sector Financing for Climate and Green Growth in Africa."

The Northern Africa Civil Society Regional Forum was opened. During the first day, the first interactive session was held, bringing together individuals and organizations interested in climate change issues. The event was organized in collaboration between the African Development Bank and the YLE Foundation.

The first day covered various important topics related to climate change, the green economy, including:

🌎 The importance of attracting the private sector for investment in climate change and green growth and ensuring its sustainability.

🌎 The role of effective civil society organizations, as civil societies are the most successful and powerful in financing climate-related initiatives.

🌎 The role of the Arab African Bank in financing both public and private sectors to implement projects that support green economy and climate change in the region.

🌎 The importance of prioritizing and planning adaptation and resilience financing in developing countries, which is currently lacking.

🌎 The importance of a tripartite dialogue where all parties listen to each other and find the best solutions and business models for adaptation.

🌎 How climate change affects African countries from all angles.
